The Intimate Love of God

One of my favorite Psalms is Psalms 139! It is a treasure!

From verse 1 to 24, God has written my name all over it! The next few posts will meditate on these Scriptures. I'm choosing The Passion Translation because it is beautiful. This is known as King David's poetic song to the Pure and Shining One!

Lord, you know everything there is to know about me. He knows every single part of me! Completely!
You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind. God knows my every move, my every thought, even before I do!
You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I'm about to speak before I even start a sentence! God knows me, deeply. More deeply than any person could know me. He knows my heart; the beauty and the brokenness. My words! Before they leave my lips, God knows what I will say!
You know every step I will take before my journey even begins. You've gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. You have laid your hand on me! God knows my steps before I take them. He knows my past and my future! He follows me, protects me. His precious hand is upon me! How blessed am I!
This is just too wonderful, deep and incomprehensible! Your understanding of me brings me wonder and strength. My feeble mind cannot comprehend this God, my God, who knows me so deeply, yet loves me so much! I'm a sinner. My heart makes choices that aren't good for me. He knows that! Yet, He willingly went to the cross so that my name can be written in his Book of Life!

O God, thank you, that you know me, you love me. Thank you that there is nothing that can ever separate me from your love! You know me deeply. You know my past. You know my heart. And you love me more than I can ever imagine. Thank you, dear Lord, for you are good! May your love settle deep within me so that I can walk in peace. In your precious, holy name, I pray. Amen.
