This week I sense the Lord calling me to meditate on Ephesians 3:14-21 some more. His heart for us is in these verses, seems to say, “Linger here . . .”
“For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth derive its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.”
God, our Father, our daddy. We are his princesses. You are daddy’s girl! We are sisters in Christ. We are created for relationship. We are created to lift each other up in prayer, and to ask that our Father strengthen each other with the power through his Spirit in our inner being, so that Christ may dwell in our hearts. We can support each other with encouraging words. We ask for faith to grow so we can stand. We want to experience God’s love and healing. We want to see broken hearts mended and courage received. We want to grow into women of faith.
It’s God who does the strengthening with his Holy Spirit. He blesses the prayers of our hearts. The very hearts he has given us! Jesus dwells within us! His love, power, strength, peace-they are within us. I love that all we have to do is ask.
Dear Lord God, thank you that we can call you Father! Thank you that your love for us is greater than we know. Thank you for our journeys. Thank you that we only need to ask and you do the rest! We lift each other before you and we seek your direction and wisdom. Guide and direct our steps, we pray. Amen.
